Andhra Pradesh Government Approves APSRTC Employees treated as Government -

Andhra Pradesh Government gives the green signal to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation(APSRTC) Employees to treated as Government. This created a Public Transport Department for the Andhra Pradesh State. They are more than 50,000 Employees under this APSRTC demanding better job security.

Andhra Pradesh State Transport Minister Perni Venkataramaiah said the decision was taken as per the recommendations by the expert's committee Which was led by a former IPS officer and also served as the Managing Director of APSRTC Named Anjaneya Reddy. The State Government Created a New Department with the Name "Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department" (APPTD).

The Conversion of APSRTC Employees to Treated as Government had been approved by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy after the meeting with the expert's Committee led by the Anjaneya Reddy.

From January,1,2020 they are completely Treated as a State Government Employees. The Retirement age will be increased from "58 to 60" said Transport Minister.

The APSRTC Experts Panel identified there is a loss of nearly Rs.6,700 crore. The Jagan Mohan Reddy Planned to take the Electric Buses to the AP-State.
