Andhra Pradesh Local Body Elections Postponed for 6 Weeks -



VIJAYAWADA: Andhrapradesh Local Body elections postponed for 6 weeks based on coronavirus threat. In the view of coronavirus threat, the state election commissioner N.Ramesh Kumar has declared the local body election polls have been postponed for 6 weeks. New updates will announce once the virus is contained. "The decision came after the high-level meeting," said the State Elections commissioner N Ramesh Kumar.

The coronavirus is spreading across the nation, we have taken a decision based on the corona theft the local polls, Municipal, MPTC, ZPTC, and Panchyat Elections postponed the next six weeks, the new schedule will announce in further about the process of elections polling" said by state Election commissioner.

The scrutiny and nominations withdrawal process have completed for MPTC and ZPTC, the schedule will release for polling. Unanimous candidates will be declared as elected, similarly, the Municipal nominations have completed and the new schedule will update for polling.

The State election commission also directed to transfer punganuru, Srikhalahasthi Circle inspector and Dsp's. Macherla CI has suspended from duties. Panchyat election notification will released after reviewing the situation.
